Dagger Moon

A big bird came down from the sky
And fell upon the mountain high
Feathers spread across the ground
No one even heard a sound
Wings so light, but a heavy heart
The mountain tore it all apart
A young man fell out of his mind
And left the rest of us behind
A summer day left full of holes
One for every stolen soul
Was it the devil or was it fate
That made him carry all that hate
Night was slit by a dagger moon
The sky bled dry before the morning
So hide away in your lonely room
And pray a better day is dawning
That it will all be over soon
A tired man ran out of plans
And took his fate in his own hands
He climbed a mountain, took a leap
They found him in the valley deep
I didn´t know him, not even his name
Now he’s gone, but I feel just the same
I feel just the same
