Daily Routine

last week when I met up with my therapist
she said I was looking bad
cause I was all wrapped up in a fluffy???
with the worst haircut I ever had
oh, swollen eyes,???, I had big shades but she could tell
that it must have been a week or so
since I last saw the sun
but I am still burning
every day I am learning
if the fire is still inside of you
from the moment you wake up
you can try hard
it wouldn’t go out
well, I charge them by the hour
and I won’t need no receipt
almost like a hooker
only fucked by what I’m beat
well, sometime I have trouble
with looking at myself
'cuz the mirror shows a junkie
only awake???
but I am still burning

last night when I was at my psychotherapist
she asked me what was wrong
'cuz I must have sounded like a wookie in a cage
whinin' on the phone
so I told her everythin' that was to tell
that life wasn’t playing fair
and that my lack of a daily routine
ruining my hair
well, I mostly work odd hours
and I fuss myself to sleep
and when I have the power to go out
I’m just a creep
my friends they ask
what’s going on
in the geezer’s head
well, the truth is I’m not there with them
I’m waiting for the beat
but I am still burning
every day I am learning
