Laughing Sickness

The sun has set on our love
And twilight comes without a sound.
I’m like King Midas, only in reverse
Because every bit of gold i touch quickly turns to dirt.
I know I’ve got strange habits
But they provide some distance.
And if you see me laughing
It’s only from the sickness.

Couldn’t breach the walls of your skin
And make you heart feel solid again.
Hand in hand
In a hole in the wall
As we watch the summer days
Acquiesce to fall.
