Make It To The Warm

There I was sticking my neck into the neck of a woods
thats never been good to me lord what on this earth did I expect to see
there could have been rain, could have been a bear
could have been a mess of things that just weren’t there
but all and all that my eyes could see
is orange leaves a fallin’down
but hey we could make it to the warm

summer in the woods never stays on like you offer it to when the hasty fall leaves it’s like a postcard can make it out to be we get a mess of snow, forget about the warm
run and get your winter’s best we’re facing up a storm
