The hungry dogs are gathering
Scratching at your door
They don’t suit our stories
On this the door
The cats are drowned in whiskey
The chill is coming in
The voices are the people
It gets within
I see the pirates gathering
The people’s going down
There’s nothing here to find out
Where I can make you come around
And all that they are saying
Are bitter and not true
You’re gonna drown
I’m gonna stop my drinking
And move into a cabin
And stop writing teenage poetry
It’s kinda funny when I start thinking
