A Different Life

It’s that time again
When the movie ends and the credits begin
I refuse to leave cause I don’t want this to end
I’m paralyzed
I’m the last to give up in every fight
but I’ve been through this so I know I’ll be alright
So I close my eyes
and I dream of living a different life
like the one I led when I felt so alive
So I pass the time
with beer and sleep and these friends of mine
and I realize I’m unhappy with my life
I’ll wonder why
I should ever sacrifice anything again in my life
When people lie and never willing to compromise
anything to make things feel alright
