Twin brides of light hold back the night so endless
Sun kissed, the moon in deepese scarlet dream
I find no sleep when beams this summer fool on high
For gaze I must upon its radiant jewel
I find no peace, no rest to still awareness
Sweet rays of hope, calm now my searching soul
Strangest of light, which burns as day is dying
Wash o’er my sould that I may sleep secure
Most gentle nurse, long bringer of tranqulity
Now bathes my eyes in nature’s purest glow
And would these rays endure for all abiding
Still let them shine for all the world to see
My sun, my moon, my sisters of invention
Whose beads of light fall soft upon the mist
