Broken

I live and breathe
I am alive
Beholding with my eyes humanity
I’m overcome I must confess
By all this hopelessness
Surrounding me
Confronted with the face of desperation
I will not turn my back and walk away
I mourn I weep
For the least of these I’m broken
I hurt I feel
For the homeless until I’m broken
Broken by what breaks the heart of God
I’m throwing caution to the wind
I will not be content with complacency
For God Your heart is my desire
Come fill me with your fire
Lord move in me
Consume me with a passion and conviction
Until I have Your burden for the lost
