Wait for the Rise

Behold another tragedy
We turn our heads and don’t allow ourselves to see the truth
We are part of the problem and part of the answer
To rid this cancer from society, we must find unity
Because it is a broken system and we are broken men
But when compassion starts and anger ends we can live again
Take a journey with me and surely you will see that these times,
they are changing
And we are through with the waiting
The wait for the rise, for all we despise to falter and fade
We wait for the day
Ignorance is not bliss when it’s malevolent
There must be some way to break the trend
We must draw the line
This will pass with time
The constant need for opposition is ammunition for an endless fight
We are all the same on one level or another
Still we willfully allow ourselves to cause others to suffer
What can we do to warm the coldest hearts?
The wheels of time move too slow and only so far
