For Autumn

Autumn begins as it kills all the summer that lingers in the air
I must be crazy to let Nature take me away from what was there
How does love survive over three thousand miles?

To bring you closer to me

They soon fade into the past
All too fast

Is the only thing I really have to fear
Winter will follow with merciless timing to usher in the cold
Ice on my window and life in the deep-freeze will make me feel old
