It was back along summer of thirty years
I’ll tell you a story to bring you tears
Of the likes of a romance so few hears

She had startling eyes of sapphire blue
She lived in a house where camellias grew
But where she came from no-one knew
He stood as firm as the mighty oak
Smelled as keen as forest smoke
