By Darkness Drawn

All that what makes us humans
Is that what will bring us down
Our thirst and search for knowledge
Has always lead us to walk along the same line
We can not handle what we learned
A lesson we´ll take to our grave
Paralyzed
As we stand at the brink of extinction
We are mesmerized
By darkness we are drawn towards our end
We can not handle the truth we are given
At the end of our abysm we must let go
All the wisdom that we gathered
Now pointing towards one truth
All our thirst for blood and carnage
Is etched within our genes, its what we are
We can no longer close our eyes
A lesson we´ll take to our grave
