Spent a year a while back
Hitting the road and the tracks
Getting to know me
In a foreign land
8000 miles from my home
Never felt so alone
How could I not be
My own best friend
If I had to do it all over again
I would go back and do just the same
Spending so much time far from anything you’ve known
Spending so much time relying on your own
You’d be well advised to live with no safety net
You’d be quite surprised to see what you can get
With my camera around
All the streets of ervry town
I was a reporter
For my own memories
Driving through the desert
The canyons and the dirt
Washed in the river
And dried with the breeze
If I had to do it all over again
