Standin' on the corner of 8th and Main
With too many beers still coursin' through my veins
And I don’t remember anything about what I said last night
But I can see you standin' there by your bedroom light
But I said no
I hope you don’t see me turn and go
Cause I’ll be there walking away
And don’t you know it tells me where I’m supposed to be
Feelin' like a ship, yeah a ship lost out at sea
But please don’t you let me come back to shore
I think I need the time to wander on some more
So now I’m steppin' off the corner of 8th and Main
I got five minutes left to get to that train
My tickets in my hand and my bags are all packed
I’ll see you again if I ever do come back
