The Marching Dolls

The world has turned itself on it’s head
The trees don’t grow they kill instead
Where hope once was the light’s turned black
We find find faith in the strangest places
The marchers walk the streets in reverse with their heads down
Blind to the color they’ve painted this town
They stare at mirrors, wearing masks
And prudently perform their task
They march along in single file
Surrendering their sense of style
Happily police the streets
