Rain

This rain is never ending
this rain will bring the flood
this rain is deep within me it swells 'till there’s not enough
room inside for the lies I live
the pain I give or receive
it seems it’s rained for so long now
there’s too much water to breathe
how deep is this canyon
how far must I go to find the answers
what’ll I do when I know
there’s no joy in ending
no redemption for me no way to defend this
