Rain Cloud

I saw the moon as the sky turned gray
And I walked alone without a story to tell
I was scooped up to the milky way
Just to fall back down and to say my last farewell
I felt the street lamps dance through the night
So I avoided their paths and ran by the shore
As I swam away to miss the fight
I jumped off the coast to go have my life restored
I just wanted to believe
In my dreams that I once received
I’ll stare at space as it draws a crowd

I fixed a tent when the light came out
And hid under the covers ‘till the world was gone
I drove up north to reverse my doubt
However, to my surprise, I had to move on
Painted my thoughts with nothing but lies
It was the only way to keep my head up high
I shifted my life to turn clockwise
But lost my way sometime and had to say goodbye
