You better go down there whenever you can

There’s a many a creatures in the ole bayou
There is one creature that is special to me
You better look real close if you want to see
He lives in the shallow water and the mud
Where the earth is wet and the rivers flood
L’ecrevisse, he’s a little crawfish (make claw motions)

Just a little crustacean that the Cajuns love
With his ten legs he can really move
With his fantail he can really groove
He’s a decapod so you better watch out
If you get too close he’ll pinch your snout! OUCH!
