Day by day they slumber in the fog
And when shadows fall
Stones grow into gargoyles
Guarda of eternal
Palaces of grief
From dismal dreams
Silhouettes of monsters on the solid walls
Spread their wings and fly away above it all
Night will come and set them free
But back by dawn they must be Gargoyles
Born not from a carver’s hand they are
Sinister and dire
Children of the wicked
