Dance upon the Tables

He walked in the room with a certain glow
The kind only a groom before his wedding would show
And told us of the time that he tagged along
To see the grandma of a girl he hadn’t known for long
She said «I wish I could be at your wedding

Some of the last words she said, but she seemed to sing
As her life was slowly slipping
All eternity was gripping

They were married in the spring
