There’s an altar on my street
I lay my wages at its feet
Gold and diamonds, neighbours bring
It is the bird that winds the spring
Ma walks past it every day
It never caused her eye to stray
It poses with it’s wings unfurled
It’s not the bird that moves or walks
Never ask a shark for loans
No moss grows on rolling stones
Those guys will take away your home
