To a New Hour

Let’s cry for tears they’ve shed, because our own feelings and sentiments are
understated
And every part of what we see brings a new beginning to determination and
understanding
If first fall can break it, never go back to check the seams
The stitching is weak and threading could pile to the knees
For once I’ll touch you with the issues of a conflict that continues over our
heads
Wipe dry our crowded eyes
There’s too much movement on our side
Our thoughts can override our future overnight
We can light candles to blow them out
Let the smoke rise with our spirits
Our desires killed the fire
Now we’re breathing on our own without any further assistance
The longest distance could be more inviting to you
