A Not so Silent Night

God will provide when they turn you away"
Mary sighed, «The time is near"as she heard the angel sing
Soon a baby’s cry on that holy night would announce a new-born King
Every bell did ring and every voice did sing
A song to celebrate the Savior’s birth
Every heart cried out, it was a miracle no doubt
And the message was peace on earth
As the angels rejoiced at the sight
It was a not-so-silent night
I hear my children laughing and running round the tree
With dreams so big and hopes so loud, they’ll never go to sleep
I hear my newborn crying, lying in his mother’s arms
And I think I know what Joseph felt on the night the Christ was born

During the night the most wonderful thing happened, baby Jesus was born
Joseph filled the manger with clean, new hay
And Mary wrapped her Son, the new-born King, in soft, white cloth,
and laid Him in a manger
