MAIDEN’S PRAYER
One night alone she was standin' there.
Tears dimmed her eyes, and the wind was in her hair.
Softly she cried for love she longed to share,
Then she looked to the skies with hope in her eyes,
And whispered a maiden’s prayer.
Lord, take his hand and I’ll know that he’s alright;
Shield him from harm and lead him through the night.
Then by her side, her love was standin' there.
They said not a word, but someone had heard
