Swing back and forth
It’s our distance that kept me grounded
But now you’re back up north
And I just can’t seem to wrap
My head around this growth
'Cause I’m busy searching for the excuses
To not lose it and fill myself up
With things that I just find useless
I tried my best to do what’s right
But I must confess that maybe
I was only ever dead wrong
Thinking 'bout myself
It’s why I’m moving really headstrong
Jumping out of bounds
Just to try and get a move on
Pust it all away
Too busy living in the background
And now I’m thinking back
That maybe I was dead wrong
I’ll take my time (take my time)
To bury myself underneath the lies
I’m digging up the roots
That wouldn’t show up before
I tried to read between the lines
Running out of patience, out of time
I tried my best to do what’s right
