Anchors and Feathers

The last firecracker put a dent in the sky and I waited in the silence for her
reply
The smoke disappeared as the minutes went by and my heart beat faster as the
mood intensified
She ran to the glass, she was ready to go, and she climbed out of her window
and down the rope
I rowed to the shore with a wedding ring and she met me at the dock and I said
one thing:
«Take this diamond we’ll use it to write this chapter together anchors and
feathers»
Back to the ship up and out we climbed with my darling Annelies there by my side
The men formed rank they were five by five and I introduced the crew to my
blushing bride
Half past four we were ready to leave and I towed her single engine out to sea
She asked where to and I said anywhere and she pointed to the horizon,
so we went there

I called for the anchor with the sails unfurled and I retired to my quarters
just me and my girl
