To Feel Alive

Countless nights and days I’ve dreamed of this.
The moment, at times, I feared I’d miss: one born from perseverance.
I’m having trouble finding the words to say what’s in my
heart when my life is falling apart.
It seems so far away, the reckoning.
The moment we discover we are not alone.
We have found our home.
And in this moment we are home.
In my dreams this liberates me and makes me feel alive.
No one else can take this from me as long as I still have my pride.
We stand as one, some serving as forgotten sons.
The earth will shake and the rest will wake. Awake.

picture.

To be blinded by the lights.
