Nauseating Convergence of Seepage

Everlasting ties in this mortal coil
Bind until beyond his body spoils
Desperate to keep you close
Make this bed your living host
To bear the loss was too much to ask
Each night I cling to your lifeless hands
Organs liquified into a puddle
Stench of putrefied flesh getting muddled
Elasticity of skin starts to struggle
Molding pools of debris begin to glisten
Insects forming their own ecosystem
Dead cells yielding a length of nutrition
Nauseating
Convergence of seepage
Mental disease
Unable to relinquish
Unrecognizable putrid state, but I can still relate
It gags the life from me
So cold and stiff, but warms me inside
Frail and decomposed, a shell of your former self
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
The desperation grows with each passing day
Throughout the stages of decay
Till death doesn’t mean a thing
When you leave behind your physical being
