The Author

I stand among the tallest buildings
Through decay, lust, disarray
And though there is a sense of loneliness
Different shades of grey
The pain is not too great
And we can survive
It’s like we stick a pole in the ground
And that gives us the right
To call something that’s not our own our own
Even though it gave us life
We are just a show
Like a moon with it’s light
If it feels just like you’re stuck in an awkward spot
Where it’s easier to get out then press on
Know there’s a brighter light
And you’re a prism defined
I’ve seen most every color
Though I know there are a few I’ve yet to see
But when it’s over I’ll fracture and give way to a divine spectrum
Love, sound and vision combined
Life is cast these days
In an awkward light
A gift in one hand
In the other spite
Although we’re not there yet
I know we can fly
Man, I’m eager to try
We’re so high
