Oh Sleeper

Doves are mourning way up in the lattice
The night folds back its starry wings
I’m thinking of you in the twilight
Among the shadows of the angels it brings
Oh sleeper now you’re heart is waking
As you leave me on this silent shore
And the chords of your soul that once were broken
Will ring across the waves now evermore
One terrible beautiful morning
As the bird shakes off the rain of dawn
I’ll shake off time from this body
