At the beeps
We walked around the lake a Guadiana Park last night. They put up a Christmas
lights display. This place is more like the States all the time.
There’s a VIP’s coffee house restaurant known here as «The Beeps»,
and Wal-Mart's supposed to open any time now.
So there’s this promenade of hundreds of people walking around the lake and
lights, and I saw someone who looked vaguely familiar sitting on one of the
benches with a pretty hot-looking young woman.

How we lost touch,
He’s not unfriendly.
He’s just a little cool
I’m not sure why it took me so long to recognize him. But finally,
as I was walking towards him, I realized it was Gabriel.
He said he was living in Torreon now. Taking the cure and hadn’t had a drink in
over a year. He’s just visiting Durango for the holidays, doesn’t have a job.
Apparently he’s a full time patient in recovery.
