Avalanche

I would still go dipping
In my pond
But everywhere as I looked around
The wide and wild ocean
It wasn’t quite cold enough
To shake me awake
Or hot enough to heat my
Resigned emotions
How I prayed the earth crust burst and set the gravity loose
And then you’d move me like an avalanche
Ever so eager
