What is the point of this life?
It requires so much compromise.
Directionless in an unmapped city,
nothing left, they say, but to stay the course.
I only want to wander, free and purposeless.
I¥m being crushed by the city¥s gloomy neon glitter,
this crazy filthy sprawl.
Curled up under covers, insomniac and unprepared
for the shock- there¥s someone gripping onto me.
