Everybody's From Someplace Else

Everybody’s from someplace else, there’s nobody from here,
Everyone’s come for their place in the sun,
It’s that time of year,
Just the seasonal migration they fall suddenly out of thin air
And then everybody’s from someplace else,
But I’m sure glad we’re all here
I’ve got a neighbor from northern Ohio,
She said she ran away from the snow,
She pays her rent to a man from Long Island,
He moved here years ago.
Yet she complains about the traffic,
And she whines about the heat and the rain,
She’s says there’s too many people,
And I wonder why she stays…
I met a family from up in Atlanta
They have a timeshare down the beach,
They consider themselves to be locals,
Though there only here for 6 weeks
Take a look out in the parking lots
It’s like a lesson in geography
Nearly every state in the nation
Is here to keep us company…

Don’t bother to ask directions
Cause no one knows their way around,
You’ve got to roll with flow, you’ll be wherever you go,
Just keep following the crowd…
