No one could ever understand, the friendship we made
Eight teen years of memories, left in your basement wasting away
Things maybe different now, but we’re still the same
Our dreams took separate paths, so we went our separate ways
We were the ones looked at as misunderstood
But we saw the world as everyone else, probably should
Not as a life to get through, but one to live up
At twenty two we’re still proving them wrong
Now we’re all out celebrating, we picked up where we left off
Surrounded by old friends who grew old, but never grew up
It’s like we’re the only true friends, left in this town
It’s only rarely now that we come around, because this place has gone to hell
