out under the sky
why Jesus my Savior
did come for to die
for poor simple people
like you and like her?

with Wise Men and farmers
and shephers anon
But high from God’s Heaven
a star’s light did fall
and the promise of ages
it then did we call
If Jesus had wanted
for anything
a star in the sky
or a bird of the wing
or all of God’s angels
in Heaven for to sing
He surely could’ve have it
because He was the King
