Can't Take Them All

Middle class in shrinking everyday
It begins our fallacy
It tears the fabric woven tight by most of us This includes you and me.
Say goodbye to coming home to dinner
Please stand back from the line
But I tell you we’ll be fine
Can’t take them all
We’re somewhere but other groups of people put us there
Take them all 'cause I’m scared
This world’s an ugly place and nothing’s fair
Humanity falls all around
And still I hear them call
Those mistakes result in rising seas
And wars on every plain
I’d say goodbye to everything
I’d done before to succumb all the pain
Never could we know what we’d become
Ignoring children’s cries
Hiding behind lies.
Can’t take them all
We’re somewhere
But other groups of people put us there
Take them all 'cause I’m scared
This world’s an ugly place and nothing’s fair
You’re only one but
Now we’re two!
We just might change them all
We’ll change them all
