Far Away Falling

At the sound of a gun
He started to run
As people and sirens were screaming
At the top of the walls
He topples and falls
And his open mouth begs, «Am I dreaming?»
And in a town far away
There’s a sun in the sky
And a washing to dry
And a woman to sigh for her lover
Everyone loves one another
And far away he’s falling down
At the sound of goodbye
I wanted to cry
But the words were just empty and hollow
And I took leave of you
Whom I scarcely now knew
And secretly hoped you would follow
Now in a town far away
I’ve erected a wall
And I’ll never now fall
And I’m deaf to the call of all others
I have no sisters or brothers
But I can feel me falling down
