So Much I Don't Know

Most days I act like I’ve been here forever
And that I will ever be
Without hesitation / Always with an answer
It’s taken me til now to see
That
Underneath the clouds and above the ground the below
Of everything that’s in between
There is so much I don’t know

I’ve given sermons with such certainty
That were painted in black and in white
But the red in the rose and the green in the tree
Have been making it hard to deny
That
Bridge
When will I see
What it all means
You plant a seed and hope it’ll grow
I’ve fallen this time
Outside the lines
And into the shade of the mighty oak
Well, I’ve traded laughter for hundred of tears
In battles I didn’t have to fight
Now, I’m using the questions and failures I feared
As fuel for a new frame of mind
