Fangs

I live in fear of the Lizard Lounge,
We went in there but you never came out,
Crossed the threshold and your blood went cold,
You sprouted those claws and you scratched yourself raw.
They’ve bitten me before,
And I know they’ll strike again.
I live in fear of the Snake Saloon,
And the look in your eyes when you swore you’d touch the moon.
Smoke and allergens,
Pills and skeletons.
You shake, shake, shake shake pretty mama,
Don’t you know where you are?

Pretty please don’t stray too far.
With that fang in your arm and venom in your veins,
Words dribble down your chin with the drool for days and days.
