Every now and then a blind squirrel finds an acorn
And every now and then a crippled sparrow takes to the wind
Lately that’s what keeps me going I find comfort just in knowing
That it happens every now and then

And every now and then a loser learns how to win
I believe that some sweet evening I’ll find someone to believe in I know it happens every now and then
