The evidence comes from all directions
Despite attempts to curb the senses
The evidence comes from all directions
It burns its way through the sad defenses
I always try to keep a space
For us to evolve in, I’m constantly solving
The vexing points
But my imagination seethes
The evidence comes when we’re least ready
It’s always dark and always threatening

We’ve pushed aside all the clues
But not to a far place, they’re stuck in a close place
Where at any point
They could rip our world in two
Every look we let go stray
And every word that slips away
Are taken note. Constant reminders of the fears
My intuition is seldom wrong
It gets sharper over years
The evidence comes from all directions
It burns its way through soft defenses
I know in time it will devour us, its always upon us
Ironic that we hide, and yet at the same time
It seems that I do find we’re subconsciously searching for it
