Why Wait?

A whole year gone by so quick
Itching eyes and the warm is thick
With the dust of plant-life in lust
Wide awake in a sweat coz I just
Felt the fridge hum through the floor
Spring snuck in under the door
We’ve got nothing to prove which is more than I’ve got to lose

Because I’m feeling much stronger than the man that began at the end of last
year

That old fear comes back so hard
Tired eyes as the sun leaves the yard
In its line of rise and decline
In my glass the night air replaced wine
I stand up and the garden chair creaks
Years and months come from hours, days and weeks
But this is not like before, fickle heart don’t give into the floor
