Don't Make Me

Don’t make me go to school today,
Oh Mom, don’t make me go to school.
I’ve got a high fever
And my throat is sore,

Just let me lie here in misery,
You go on to work, I’ll be fine!..
But I’m too weak to even watch TV,

It’s not because of a test today
Or the homework I haven’t done.
Please, let me stay:
I’ll do the dishes, I’ll walk the dog,
I could wash the dog,
I could clean up my room,
Pick up my toys,
Sweep up with vacuum dust.
