On My Own

My life is rhythm and blues:
you cannot understand, you’ve got to put on my shoes.
I swim when there’s low tide
and won’t forget the bright side of life.
Spare me your empty words,
my answers for you will be short and curt.
Please, I beg you, take my advice:
Don’t judge me before you know what’s wrong or right!
I don’t want to be alone,
but I am in my zone
when my heart feels relieved, so…
I’m on my own,

Only people that I like surround me.

I’ve had a smile on my face
since my life began in my birth-place.
