Hunger Shot Guilt

Face to face you don’t look like food
If I fry you a while then you taste so good
For none of you we’ll lift our hats
For all I know you’ll make us fat
I kind of know why you must go
And I can tell you your odds are low
I close your eyes try to forget your faith
I pretend you won’t even end up on my plate
Since I was born I’ve been raised on you
Your cousin cow friend chicken too
Disgusting thoughts come to my mind
But hunger shot my guilt, now I’m feelin' fine
Why show me that you’re scared
Why show me I don’t care
Why show me you’re in pain
Why show me I’m insane
May you rest in my belly in peace
And what’s left between my teeth
What I see is what I eat
But when I eat I do not see
Disgusting thoughts come to my mind
