Leaves flutter, blink at the sky
The pictures in your mind speed by
Branches sway, nod to the air
Your frenzy takes you nowhere
Standing silent they talk to each other
Swaying softly the sing with each other
Roots anchor, sit with the earth
You scramble to prove your worth
Trunks tower, simply to stand
You flap your arms and wring your hands
Talking silent they stand with each other
Singing softly they sway with each other
Trees may stand hundreds of years
You honk your horn and grind your gears
