2nd Chair

Rebecca played Bach while I learned Heart and Soul; the low part,
She had technique, I played with my feet, but no one would care,
Michael Jordan was cut from his varsity basketball team, so there’s hope for me,
2nd Chair to Rebecca, knowing I’ll never, have the first chair,
Someday I’ll hit the big time and I’ll show Rebecca who will sit where,
It’s such a shame but the day that I’d play never came,
I had my chance when she peed her pants, but I did the same,
Microsoft used to be a Seattle garage with a geek and some broken PCs,
It goes to show what it takes,
I had heart and she made no mistakes,
Now we’ll see if that bitch rocks a crowd just like me,
